Basic Anima-Animus Relations

     This diagram represents the most basic structure of Jung's concepts of Anima and Animus. You should note that the term "Anima" was originally used to indentify the male soul only. Hillman and Moore have redefined the term to now refer to the basic nature of soul across both men and women. In reading Jung, Jacobi, or others who deal with Jung's original concepts beware of how the term is being applied We will dicuss this in class.
